Portugal * River mail accident * Envelope circulated from Lisbon (12.11.65) to Faro, with lost stamp, recovered from an accident that occurred at the South and Southeast Maritime Station. On the back was affixed a black stamp “NOTE FROM THE CENTRAL POST OFFICE / LISBON / DUE TO AN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURRED ON 10/11/65 AT THE SOUTH AND SUESTE MARITIME STATION THE MAILBAG, WHICH INCLUDED THIS CORRESPONDENCE, FELL INTO THE RIVER”.
