1862, King Luiz, 10r orange & 50r yellow green (Scott#13,15 / Mf#13,15), two 10 reis singles and 1 50 reis single, all with bright fresh colors and large margins, canceled by “1” in circular rhomboid of dots, on May 2, 1866 folded letter from Lisbon to Madrid (55), arrival c.d.s. on reverse; addressee’s name neatly barred out; paper fault repaired below but not affecting one 10 reis; very fine mixed franking paying the 70 reis double rate. Ex- Washburne.
