Lot 1626:
Military Censorship. Letter sent by airmail from England (Slough) on 17.4.1945, to Cape Verde, with a 5d postage stamp. In England it was opened by the censor twice (two different censorship bands superimposed), also opened by the military censor in Lisbon, then on to Cape Verde, where it arrived on 25.5, and passed through the censor with censorship marks applied to the front and back.
