Pedro V, curly hair. 5 reis brown Mf#10 (Scott 9), five-reis vertical top margin in rich brown with full margins except understamp cut at lower right, cancelled by five strokes “1” circle of 15 bars on 15 December 1856 Lisbon to Paris part wrapper; 20 December Bayonne (red) & Bordeaux to Paris transit marks; Arrival fee 70 c[entime] red-brown for a multi-sheet newspaper. Only recorded example of a 5 reis quintuple strip on wrapper. Ex-Washburne.
