Lot 1714:
Portugal 1856/58 – D. Pedro V. Curly hair. MF13c, 25 réis, carmine-pink, type VI, smooth paper, no perforations. Letter circulated from Lisbon (20.07.61) to Leiria with a 25 réis stamp to pay the simple internal postage of a letter with a pawn of up to 3 octaves. In Leiria it was forwarded to Torres Novas, paying a new postage of 25 réis, with a stamp of the same type. Stamps without repairs and with good colour and relief, one obliterated with a numerical dot stamp from the 1st postal reform “1 – Lisbon”, with three luxury margins and a short one touching the printing frame and the other, without defects or repairs, with luxury/normal margins and a short one not touching the printing frame, obliterated with a numerical bar stamp from the 1st postal reform, struck in black “26 – LEIRIA”, type 4.3.4.
