Illustrated postcard, LATI edition, registered circulation from Rome (20.12.39) to Buenos Aires, transiting via Rio de Janeiro, franked with 75c and 3L stamps, Yv424 and CA111. This first flight used 3 Savoia Marchetti 83A trimotors: registration I_AREM from Rome to Seville (21.12), registration I-ARPA from Seville to Sal Airport / Cape Verde (21/22.12) and registration I-ARCA from Sal Airport to Rio de Janeiro (23/24.12). Commemorative postmark of the flight, struck in black “1.º VOLO ROMA – RIO DE JANEIRO / 21.12.39 XVIII / LATI”.
