Lot 2304:
Lourenço Marques. Letter registered by Albert Bach, at kilometre 76 of the railway line under construction from Lourenço Marques to the border, launched and registered at the Chanculo post office, which opened on 10 October 1904. Postage of 65/5 and 2 stamps of 5 reis, for a total of 75 reis, for Portugal. It was sent by mistake to Japan “Missent to Osaka”, where it was opened, arrived in Osaka on 12.1, forwarded to Europe via London on 14.2, having arrived in Lisbon on 18.2 MR.
