Portugal 1853 D. Maria II. Complete series of the first stamps of Portugal Mf#1-4, with the 50 reis being the green-blue variety (Mf#3b), on smooth paper, not perforated. Set of used stamps, with luxury to very short margins (touching the frame in the case of the 50 reis). The 5 reis stamp has a thinning in the centre and the 1200 reis stamp has one on the lower edge of the stamp. Stamps with slight traces of oxide. Catalogue value (2nd choice) €1,158.
