Cape Verde 1885 Crown issue. Letter from S. Vicente (Cape Verde) on 15 April 1885, postage of 100 reis (pair of 40 reis yellow and 20 reis bistre (with flaw in the lower right corner), via Lisbon 2? April 1885, to Turin ( Italy), where it arrived on 2 May 1885. This franking, of which only two other copies are known, is one of the rarest, totalling 100 reis. The flaw in the stamp does not detract from the rarity of the cover. VR.
